Phimchanok Vonkorpon, director general of the Commerce Ministry’s Trade Policy and Strategy Office, has launched a project in which data will be collected on rice, palm oil, rubber, cassava and corn production in the country.

The new Big Data system will report on domestic and overseas demand and supply of the products and will also help make predictions on price stability. The aim of the new system is to help farmers maintain their income and become sustainable.
