The zoo officials said that China Wildlife Conservation Association had sent experts to Thailand to investigate the cause of death. “The Chinese experts found no sign of malnutrition, external wounds, or foreign objects in the trachea,” said the officials. “They ruled that the panda died of heart failure.”

Thailand will compensate the Chinese government for the death of Chuang Chuang in line with the agreement between the Zoological Park Organization and the China Wildlife Conservation Association as soon as possible, and would continue to take good care of Lin Hui, another panda from China, the officials said.
