A motorway bridge under construction in Nakhon Ratchasima province collapsed on Saturday afternoon, injuring at least 12 people.

The construction work site was located in Muang district and is a part of highway number 290. Most of the injured people were reportedly Myanmar labourers working at the construction site.

Investigation into the cause of the accident revealed that the scaffoldings were old, and they collapsed as they could not bear the weight of cement.
