The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has launched a major cleaning and disinfecting operation in Bang Khae district after a sudden surge in Covid-19 cases linked to six markets.

Bang Khae district has become the new virus hotspot, especially Wonder Market, after proactive testing of close to 5,000 people found at least 200 positive cases.
