Surat Thani bans its staff from leaving the province

Authorities in Surat Thani have banned all provincial staff and those of state enterprises from leaving the province without urgent reasons, in a bid to control the Covid-19 crisis in the area.

The order was issued on Friday, signed by Governor Wichawut Jinto.

Also, the authority has closed Ko Raet island from Friday, after a resident of this island tested positive for Covid-19.
