Thailand sees record high 17,669 new Covid-19 cases

The past 24 hours have seen 17,669 new Covid-19 patients, 261 of whom have been found in prisons, while the death toll has increased by 165, the Public Health Ministry reported on Thursday morning.

It added that 9,798 patients have recovered and been allowed to leave hospital.

Both daily infections and deaths have reached a new high today.

Cumulative cases in the country are presently 561,030, with a total 4,562 deaths so far.
