SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 06, 2022
The Royal Thai Police on Sunday issued a 3-minute clip explaining the steps it has taken to ensure the security of world leaders during the Apec Summit in Bangkok.
The English-subtitled clip features National Police chief Pol General Damrongsak Kittiprapas explaining how every member of his team is standing ready to ensure each summit attendee’s safety.
He also explains the steps taken to make sure Bangkok traffic runs smoothly on November 18 and 19, so leaders can travel conveniently. The immigration process at the airport has also been sped up, he said.
Damrongsak added that police officers have been deployed at checkpoints and security stops in the capital.
In the clip, the police chief urges the public to call 191 or the 1599 Royal Thai Police hotline if they notice anything suspicious before or during the summit.
