Bangkok: City of smog gasps for breath

Bangkok residents are struggling through thick smog this week as PM2.5 dust levels surge to dangerous levels.

PM2.5 is rising due to pollution from traffic and other sources accumulating in stagnant air. The resulting smog is taking a toll on people’s health, impacting the lungs, eyes, heart and blood vessels.

So how are Bangkokians coping with some of the world’s worst air pollution?
