He said he was glad to be re-instated and would attend a meeting of related officials about farmland issues in Mae Sarieng district on his first day back in office. Then he would travel to Muang Mae Hong Son and pay respects to the province’s sacred sites, especially Wat Phra That Doi Kongmu.

“As it is now ended, there is no point in blaming or getting mad at anyone. When society understands what went on, then that’s the end of it,” he said.

Suebsak was transferred to works in Bangkok on May 2 pending investigations into allegations of his alleged involvement in the northern province’s forced underage prostitution scandal.

After authorities cleared him of the allegations the order for his reinstatement was issued on Wednesday. Suebsak said that after the order was issued, many people from both public and private agencies in the region congratulated him. He said he was grateful for the support.

He also urged the public to be careful when consuming news via mainstream and online media, as it could lead to mistakes. However, he also thanked the media for searching out the facts until the truth was revealed and he was cleared.
