A pageant ushering a number of Holy Buddhist Lent (Khao Phansa) candles from Wat Saphan in Bangkok’s Phra Khanong area travels along a Sukhumvit Road section on July 14.

During a whole three-month Lent, which falls from July 17 to October 13 this year (BE 2562 or 2019), candles are blessed and traditionally lit at Buddhist temples in front of the main Buddha Statues throughout the period.
