Police struggle to wash off stains

The paint stains were still obvious at an entrance to Royal Thai Police Headquarters, despite serious cleaning efforts this morning

On Wednesday, thousands of pro-democracy demonstrators gathered at Bangkok’s Ratchaprasong Intersection and surrounded the headquarters.

Tins of paint were splashed all over the walls in a protest against a crackdown the day before, when riot police fired tear gas and water cannon at demonstrators outside Parliament.
