Following its expansion to Phuket early this year, Foodpanda is now launching its operations in Hua Hin, in line with its mission to be the No 1 food delivery service for Thais.

Craving for a gigantic cheeseburger or crispy roti, but too tired to go out? If you live in Hua Hin, having your favourite food delivered to your doorstep is easy and simple with foodpanda. Using the foodpanda app or website, you can select the food you love from a wide range of food choices in different cuisines and budgets from menus that are available in both English and Thai.

Whether it’s Dinosaur Fish Dumpling, Che Siem Noodle, 31Burger, Father’s Ted Steak House or Cantina Mexican Restaurant, you can have all of these delivered to your home in no time with a fixed delivery fee of Bt40. You can order from app or website, every day between 10am and 10pm.

“We believe that Hua Hin is a great market when it comes to food delivery and we trust that local consumers will respond positively to the service provided by us,” says Alexander Felde, managing director of foodpanda Thailand.

Amidst the growing competition in the food delivery industry in Thailand, foodpanda continues to expand its business across the country’s big and small cities. This year’s goal includes the operations in the northeastern part of Thailand, including Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Special! Foodpanda customers in Huahin can exclusively enjoy free delivery from today until August 31.

Gucci has extended the G-Frame collection with a new size and a variety of styles that combine its signature design codes and contemporary detailing.

The watches in versatile new sizes boast different finishes and interchangeable snakeskin straps.

A yellow-gold PVD variant with a cream-red-blue Sylvie House web mother-of-pearl dial comes with a textured brown snakeskin strap, which can be exchanged with a palette of alternative snakeskin straps in white, red, or blue, each finished with a yellow-gold PVD ardillon buckle.

Another 21x34mm model brings together a steel case with a green-red-green mother-of-pearl dial with Gucci bee indexes. The timepiece allows you to change the strap depending on your mood, with a choice of colours.

In two other 21x34mm editions, the web motif flows seamlessly from the dial to the strap for a continuous 360-degree look with a strong Gucci statement.

Another feature is the pyramid shape of their sapphire-crystal dials, which produces beautiful light effects.

All-in-one travel with Expedia

Expedia, one of the world’s full-service travel brands, launches the Expedia Add-On Advantage, the newest way for travellers to get a great hotel deal.

The new addition unlocks guaranteed discounts from hundreds of thousands of participating hotels for travellers who book a flight or package (flight and hotel) on Expedia.co.th and come back to book a hotel up until the day of their departure. On average, Thai travellers can secure up to 51 per cent off the cost of their hotel purchase.

Expedia has long encouraged travellers to bundle their flight and hotel in a package for maximum savings due to the deep discounts offered by valued lodging partners. In a research commissioned by Expedia earlier this year, Thai travellers ranked number one as the most frequent fliers, with an average of 10.1 flights taken in a year. The research also indicates that only 36 per cent of Thais would bundle their flight and hotel with 37 per cent booking their flight first and then a hotel, missing out on potential savings by not bundling them together. The Expedia Add-On Advantage offers travellers a way to bundle and save, which the company believes will attract savvy travellers requiring more time and flexibility to book their trip.

At a media event held in Bangkok, Simon Fiquet, general manager of Southeast Asia and India at Brand Expedia said: “We put great emphasis in research and consumer studies to truly understand our travellers’ behaviours and needs. Our objective is to make travel easier, more accessible, seamless and enjoyable for people to research and book. The launch of the Expedia Add-On Advantage is another example of how we are listening to our travellers and helping to bring their next trip within reach.

“No longer will they need to visit multiple sites when they know they’re getting access to guaranteed discounts on accommodation simply from booking a flight or package. Better yet, it takes away the pressure of planning and paying for everything up front.”

For more information on how to book and enjoy Expedia Add-On Advantage, visit https://www.Expedia.co.th/addonadvantage.

Sportswear apparel brand Under Armour (UA), has opened Southeast Asia’s most cutting-edge Brand House at CentralWorld, showcasing UA’s advanced tech and unveiling its new running shoes, the HOVR Series 2.

The HOVR Series 2 feature UA’s HOVR technology, the brand’s latest innovation in footwear cushioning that’s set to provide a zero gravity feel, allowing wearers to run longer and jump higher.

Its compression mesh Energy Web contains and moulds the UA HOVR foam to give back the energy the wearers put in and eliminate impact. The design team brought the look and feel of apparel into two new styles, the HOVR Sonic and HOVR Phantom, by incorporating Twisted Knit into the uppers of the footwear.

HOVR Series 2 has been engineered to provide the ideal combination of cushioning and energy return. While the HOVR Phantom is geared more towards the casual runner, with a focus on comfort and lifestyle, the HOVR Sonic has been designed for speed and distance and is for the athlete and serious runner. The HOVR Phantom also sports a trendy mid-top design, with a high cut cuff and external heel counter for increased stability, while the HOVR Sonic has a classic low top design, with a threadbone flat knit upper that provides a breathable, compression-like fit to deliver lightweight directional strength and unmatched comfort.

A selection of some of Under Armour’s 22 local brand ambassadors, including national boxer, Wuttichai Masuk, bodybuilder Pornpaisan Ruangsangpen and tennis players Kamonwan Buayam and Bunyawi Thamchaiwat were at the event to demonstrate the brand’s performance-boosting qualities.

This opening marks the 11th Under Armour Brand House in Thailand, and the most innovative in Southeast Asia to date. With 21 Under Armour locations opening across the country in just three years, Thailand is the fastest-growing location for the brand in the region.

“The opening of our most innovative Under Armour Brand House in Southeast Asia is the perfect opportunity to debut our HOVR Series 2, which feature the most cutting-edge cushioning available. With these launches, we’re strengthening our position as a sportswear pioneer as well as bolstering our presence in Thailand, which is one of UA’s strongest markets,” says Michael Binger, chief executive of Triple, sole distributer of Under Armour in Southeast Asia.

To further support Thai customers, Under Armour offers a digital platform via MapMyFitness and MyFitnessPal to support anyone interested in improving their health and fitness.

MapMyFitness is the best mobile fitness tracking experience, backed by the world’s largest digital health and fitness community. With this application, athletes will be able to track and map every run. After each run, users will receive feedback and statistics to improve their performance and get inspired to reach new running goals with a community of more than 50 million runners. This is backed by MyFitnessPal, which provides free access to the world’s largest nutrition and calorie database with over six million foods.

Issey Miyake has collaborated with designer Ichiro Iwasaki on a series of smart “f” timepieces with two contrasting faces –AM and PM.

The white “morning” dial features the numerals 1 to 12 clearly outlined, while the brisk black “afternoon” dial has 13 to 24.

The concentric design of the dial makes the numbers stand out at an angle, adding depth.

The size – 39mm in diameter and 9.2mm in thickness – is an ideal fit and with its simple designs perfect for both men and women.

The case, two faces and two bands are available in many combinations for couples or family members to share, and are also suitable for a variety of clothing outfits.

Born in Tokyo in 1965, Iwasaki began his career at the Sony Design Centre, then moved to Italy, where he worked at several studios in Milan. He returned home in 1995 and set up the Iwasaki Design Studio in Tokyo.

He has since collaborated with manufacturers both in and outside Japan, designing a diverse array of products ranging from goods like tableware, lighting apparatus and furniture to precision electronic devices such as digital cameras and mobile phones.

He has received international acclaim, including Japan’s Good Design Award (Gold), the Red Dot Design Award (Best of the Best) and the German Design award (Silver). He also serves as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts and at Tama Art University.

A bounty of high-end timepieces goes on show at the Siam Paragon Watch Expo

SOME OF the most expensive timepieces in the world are on show in the 12th Siam Paragon Watch Expo, alongside the new innovations and designs by some 180 leading brands.

Under the unique timepieces concept, this year’s highlight is Franck Muller’s Double Mystery collection, which set the pace counting only the hours of the day, allowing the diamonds to sparkle to the rhythm of the 24 daily revolutions of the single disc visible on the dial.

Tag Heuer Link watch, Bt195,000

Ferrari teams up with Hublot to design the limited edition of 70 Tech Frame Ferrari Tourbillion King Gold chronographs to celebrate its 70th anniversary. It’s a perfect fusion of the automotive and watchmaking that is deeply rooted in Ferrari’s DNA – combining strength, performance and agility.

Ulysse Nardin introduces the Executive Skeleton Tourbillion timepiece with the Un-171 manufacture movement. Its complex mechanics are stripped to a bare minimum – an incredible feat of technical savoir-faire – and its power reserve has been extended to seven days. The titanium case is adorned with a blue ceramic bezel and pioneering silicium parts.

The latest edition of the Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie watch presents a modern interpretation of the perpetual calendar complication with a smoked sapphire dial and realistic 3-dimensional, domed view of the moon from earth. The transparent sapphire crystal reveals the movement and functions beneath, while a new refined 40-mm case and dial bring contemporary elegance to the wrist.

Charriot Twist timepiece, Bt55,000

Tag Heuer revives a vintage design from 1987, with the iconic bracelet boasting the signature S-shaped links to give wearers extra comfort. With a diameter of 41mm, the black or blue sunray open dial allows for maximum readability, while the bezel offers two designs of a cushion base and overlaid ring. Made from calibre 17, the chronograph comes with the small second counter at 3 o’clock, the minute counter at 9 o’clock and the hour counter at 6 o’clock.

Shoppers can enjoy up to 50-per-cent discounts at Watch Galleries of The Mall, Emporium and Paragon until September 30.

The expo, meanwhile, runs through Thursday. Find out more by calling (02) 610 8000.

Cartier looks back more than 120 years with a new collection for the guys

CARTIER IS celebrating its long history with the Elegance for Him collection, which draws inspiration from Cartier founder Louis-Francois and his three grandsons – Pierre, Louis and Jacques.

The four of them patented previously unconsidered inventions, abolished boundaries, transformed the jewels of Maharajas, and dreamt up watches for aviators. In Paris, London and New York, they installed a powerful and unmistakable style.

It was back in 1899 that Louis set up shop in Paris’s Rue de la Paix and came up with an edition of Tank watches, Trinity rings and shirt studs to redefine the boundaries of style in jewellery. With geometric lines, clean designs and innovations, he reconciled classicism with a pioneering spirit and elegance.

Drive de Cartier extra-flat watch, Bt570,000

Jacques, the youngest brother established the London office in 1902 combining this with extensive travels to India and Bahrain and building a special relationship with the British Royal Family.

Blending the refined sartorial elegance of Savile Row with the spirited eccentricity of London style, Cartier invented its own mythology of luxury for men. A particularly British pairing is embodied by the glittering and unexpected Panthere pocket gem.

Panthere de Cartier ring, Bt2.66 million

In 1909, Pierre was symbolic of a naturalised New Yorker, who one day historically exchanged a pearl necklace for the finest mansion on Fifth Avenue. Cartier captured the creative energy of New York City and was inspired to create the dramatic and provocative unisex designs of the Clou and Love bracelets.

A unique notion of masculinity entered the modern era, free from taboo. The Cartier man could enhance a tie, collar or jacket lapel with an artfully pinned, individual creation.
