Cristiano Ronaldo Will Not Travel To Bangkok For Manchester United Pre Season Tour

Ronaldo has not reported back to United training after being granted time away from Carrington due to ongoing personal issues, as reported.

However while the personal reasons remain unknown, during the time of his absence from training, reports have emerged stating the players desire to leave Old Trafford this summer following the clubs lack of ambition in the transfer market.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not fly with Manchester United to their pre-season trip to Bangkok on Friday, continuing his absence from team activities amid a transfer dispute.

It’s unclear if the 37-year-old will participate at all on their summer tour to Thailand and Australia. He was a no-show at pre-season training this week.

Ronaldo’s ongoing absence for “family reasons” has added to the uncertainty over his future after he made it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford during this transfer window.

The striker has admirers in Chelsea and Bayern Munich as his agent continues to look for a move for his client in this summers transfer window following the players desire to leave the club.

Chelsea are said to be interested in Ronaldo and some reports have even suggested that the club are readying a bid.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal got past Taylor Fritz to reach the semifinals at Wimbledon.

Nadal fights hard to reach semifinals at Wimbledon

Rafael Nadal refused to surrender to his injury and hung on to hold off American Taylor Fritz in five sets, reaching the men’s singles semifinals at the Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion lost the opening set 3-6 and asked for a medical timeout while leading 4-3 in the second set.

“The body in general is fine but of course in the abdominal, something is not going well, to be honest,” said Nadal after the match and admitted that for a lot of moment, he thought he would not be able to finish the match.

But the 36-year-old Spaniard didn’t let the crowd down as he returned to the court and picked up his racket. Wild cheering accompanied him since then whenever he got a point.

Nadal broke in the 11th game to take the second set 7-5, but Fritz dominated the following set with huge serves and big forehands.

The 24-year-old American put himself ahead with another 6-3, but Nadal always with a never-say-die attitude, came back again by winning the fourth set 7-5.

In the deciding set, both broke once and tied until 6-6. Nadal sensationally started the tiebreak with a 5-0 lead before wrapping it up 10-4.

“I just wanted to give myself a chance. Not easy to leave the tournament. Not easy to leave Wimbledon, even if the pain was hard,” said Nadal.

Nadal’s next opponent is Nick Kyrgios as the Australian beat Cristian Garin from Chile 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(5) to reach the semifinals of a Grand Slam for the first time.

But the Spaniard said he could not guarantee that he would play the semifinals on Friday as he would go for some tests on Thursday.

In the women’s quarterfinals, former champion Simona Halep needed only one hour and three minutes to crush American Amanda Anisimova 6-2, 6-4.

The Romanian 16th seed has won all of her five matches in the tournament so far in straight sets.

She will fight for a semifinal place against Elena Rybakina on Thursday as the 17th seed from Kazakhstan came from behind to overtake Australian Ajla Tomljanovic 4-6, 6-2 and 6-3.

One Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix semifinal between Rodtang and Michael slated for One 161

The two striking stars will step into the Circle for their One Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix semifinal that evening, and the much-anticipated bout will go down live in U.S. primetime thanks to One’s recently signed deal with streaming giant Amazon Prime.

The illustrious tournament has been exhilarating to watch so far. The quarterfinals displayed the wealth of talent in the striking division when they took place at One 157 this past May.

That evening, flyweight Muay Thai kingpin Rodtang advanced to the semifinals with a masterful display against Jacob Smith. He dominated the debuting Brit to score a unanimous decision win and punch his ticket to the next round.

Likewise, Michael put on a convincing performance when he collided with Amir Naseri in his quarterfinal bout. The 23-year-old pressured Naseri around the Circle while dropping powerful blows, and he was awarded a unanimous decision victory for his effort.

The win put his name in the mouths of the fans watching, as well as fighters from around the world, who noted that he could cause problems for “The Iron Man” when they meet.

The Cypriot star has a huge opportunity to size up Rodtang for a future meeting for the divisional strap when they meet on 26 August. If he beats the Thai phenom and goes on to win the Grand Prix, Michael will earn a shot at the longtime World Champion’s throne when the tournament concludes.

The winner of Rodtang and Michael will find themselves facing the victor of Superlek Kiatmoo9 versus Walter Goncalves in the Grand Prix final. The date for their showdown has yet to be announced, but fans can expect the fireworks to continue when the Thai sensation and Brazilian powerhouse meet.

In the meantime, download the One Super App to catch all the action at One 159: De Ridder v Bigdash on Friday, 22 July, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed to join Manchester United, according to reports in the British media.

Eriksen, 30, made a remarkable return to top flight football when he signed for Brentford earlier this year.

His career appeared over when he suffered a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark in the European Championships in 2021.

He was released by Inter Milan as he was unable to play in Italian football because he had a cardioverter-defibrillator implanted as a result of the cardiac arrest.

But he signed for west London club Brentford in February and scored once and laid on a string of assists as the Premier League newcomers stayed up with ease.

If Eriksen does sign for United, it will give new manager Erik ten Hag more midfield options for his first season in charge.
