Inspired by Matt Lambert’s photos, the backs of its clothes feature unique graphic parodies and dual meaning slogans like “I don’t match” implying that the brand is not partial to any category and “the way we feel about society and different tribes” taking a stance in supporting those thinking differently with no limits.

Commoners in the Edo Period were not allowed to experience luxury. Wearing showy, shiny materials or royal colors like purple, red, and gold was prohibited, while the Shogunate’s sumptuary laws prescribed that fabrics could be made only of cotton.

Designed on the theme of “Anarchy in the Edo Period”, the new sneakers express rejection of these restrictions through the fire graphic showing how fires and fistfights are the flowers of Edo. The circle A written in sneakerwolf’s Kanji-Graphy script and artwork drawn with ASICS and used in displays at AsicsTiger’s New York outlet adorn the surfaces of the shoe.

The sneakerwolf defines the artistic value of Edo period script, found on paper lanterns, hanten short coats, sumo characters and kantei script. Created with the pure aesthetic sense of the Japanese people, the theme appears in uniquely Japanese street art.

By discovering commonalities with graphic art created around script, sneakerwolf has also created his own unique Kanji-Graphy that renders the alphabet in an Edo script style.

The bracelet watch in Light Violet and “Dark Violet” shimmers with mysterious yet elegant colours. “O” – the name derived from eau, the French word for water – is a bangle watch designed on the concept of ‘a timepiece shaped like water that shows the time transparently’ and comes from the creative mind of leading Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka.

The smooth curvature of transparent bangle leads the eye to the mirror finish body, which reflects the scenes of the surroundings and gradually blends into the environment as if disappearing into the form of itself.

Using special transparent plastic material, “O” opens up a new direction in watch design with non-definitive forms, as if freed from the concept of the materialism.

Inspired by the colour and feeling of water, the grey dial recalls the colour of a stormy sea, while the watch’s signature diving scale numerals in relief are a reminder of the texture of water, as well as its elemental role in all life.

The watch shares its architecture and performance values with the Oris Aquis Date. It has a 43.50mm stainless steel case with a uni-directional rotating diver’s bezel and is water-resistant to 300 metres.

It comes with a choice of straps or a metal bracelet, and its sapphire crystal sits over a dial decorated with applied hour markers, which, like the hour and minutes hands, are filled with luminescent Super-LumiNova. Its Swiss Made automatic mechanical movement provides it with a central seconds hand – in urgent red – and a date, seen through a window at 6 o’clock.

Oris has also introduced a watch strap made from a material called r-Radyarn, which is produced from post-consumer recycled polymer in a process that requires significantly less energy and water than conventional manufacturing methods.

Mounted in collaboration with the Chin gallery of urban contemporary art, the “Zero to Hero” exhibition has Siam Piwat Retail Holding chief executive Usara Yongpiyakul excited.

“Siam Discovery the Exploratorium is a lifestyle lab where everyone is welcome to experiment with their creativity and imagination, where every square metre is filled with stimulating experiences,” she says.

“Siam Discovery keeps up to date with every emerging trend, and street culture is big right now, so we’re inviting everyone to ‘come play with us’. We’ve selected the most prominent parts of street culture from around the world, from art and culture to fashion.”

UFO907 emerged in the 1990s with his signature UFO spaceships rendered in murals on public walls, abandoned buildings, homes and public transportation vehicles.

The exhibition has samples of his New York street art and his studio-oriented pieces such as “907 Bottles of Beer on the Wall” and “Mind Detergent, as well as never-before-seen sculptures.

“Mini Fibreglass Sculpture” has been reproduced in a limited number of 69 pieces.
