Sarayuth said Kritsana had been very cooperative and police had not filed charges against him, as he was not yet a suspect.
The colonel also said the victim, Issarajnuwat Wakkawisan, 23, had already told police what had happened and filed a complaint. Saying that police would summon everyone involved to testify, he added that investigators were still gathering evidence.
While Kritsana was being interrogated, the owner of Malin Sky pub where the brawl took place, Thanin Lert-amrungkul, also appeared to testify.
Three employees at Malin Sky – identified as Thanandon Mansawaeng, 23, Adisak Penglek, 20, and Apiwat Na Lamphun, 21 – also surrendered to police shortly after midnight yesterday. Their lawyer Sant Kawichai escorted them to Chang Puak Police Station.
Despite claiming that they had no knowledge of the assault, they were initially charged with an attack resulting in injuries before being released.
Issarajnuwat, a fourth-year student at Payap University and son of 38th Army Circle commander Maj-General Witthaya Wakkawisan, suffered a broken nose, two cracked teeth, a fractured jaw and a bruised left eye. He was reportedly stopped from using a washroom that celebrities were using before the altercation broke out.
He is being treated at Lanna Hospital.
Malin Sky has been closed since the incident.
Pol Maj-General Churat Pan-ngao, acting deputy chief of Provincial Police Region 5, told a police meeting later yesterday that four suspects had surrendered, including a security guard at the pub, Thanomsak Pipatkijjakan, 43, who confessed to attacking Issarajnuwat by himself.
Churat said all four were initially charged for assault resulting in injury, adding that police would ensure justice for all sides.

As part of the recently launched campaign by the Public Health Ministry and the Thai Red Cross Society, hospitals nationwide will hold exhibitions next month to promote the initiative, said Dr Sopon Mekthon, permanent secretary for public health.
The Thai Red Cross Society’s Organ Donation Centre and the organisation’s provincial branches will collect organ donor application forms from Thursday to Monday to boost patients’ chances to get trans plants, reduce deaths and shorten waiting queues for organs.
Sopon said the ministry’s 10 hospitals conducted organ-transplant surgeries.
As part of the campaign, general and centre hospitals as well as the Thai Red Cross Society’s National Blood Centre will collect blood on the 13th day of month until December 5, 2017.
As of November 15, the society reported that 5,458 patients were on waiting lists for organ donations – about 800 of whom could have surgery every year but there were only about 200 organ donations a year.
The low number of organ donations is mainly due to the widespread belief that people who donate organs will be born without those organs in the next life, which is not in keeping with Buddhism. In fact, donating organs is considered making great merit, Sopon said.
As of November 15, there were 11,591 people on the waiting list for retina implant surgery – about 800 of whom could undergo operations each year.
The Thai Red Cross Society needs up to 60,000 blood donations per month to distribute to hospitals nationwide.

Held in India from Friday to Sunday, the competition attracted contestants from 64 nations.
Thailand’s PT Green Mindstormer won the top award in the creativity category for contestants aged 12 and under.
The team hails from the Project Lab Institute.
The other five prizes nabbed by Thai students were considered to be consolation prizes. The WINNER from Pak Thong Chai Prachaniramit School won in the under-19 creativity category, while Chak Kham 1 from Chak Kham Khanathon School won in the under-15 regular category.
Dark Horse from Panya Robot won the consolation prize in the under-12 regular category, while Grateful Student from True Click Life won in the under-19 regular category.
Meanwhile, SG-IST from St Gabriel’s College came away with another consolation prize for its innovative work in the robot-football category.
Team member Napat Chaicharoensukkasem said constantly advancing technology had inspired him to engage in robotics.
“After seeing that robots could be applied to various aspects in human lives, I really wanted to start inventing robots,” he said. “That’s why I joined the team.”
Nuanwan Cha-um, a representative from GAMMACO (Thailand) Co Ltd, accompanied contestants to the prestigious event.
She serves as the sales and marketing head of Thailand’s Robot Olympiad project.
“GAMMACO will continue supporting Thai children so they can develop their inventions further,” she said.

Launched a month ago as an initiative of Kasetsart University professor Decharut Sukkumnoed, the campaign for direct rice sales is proving popular with farmers. It also provides a rare opportunity for consumers to talk with food producers directly and learn exactly where the rice on their plates comes from and how it got there.
This is a positive move for traceability of food in Thailand, where most people remain in the dark over its origin or production, with useful information usually limited to the expiry date.
Traceability depends on the easy availability of information on where and how a product was made. The principle and practice is well established in many Western countries. In 2005 the European Union enforced a regulation that requires all food products to be labelled with a serial number so that consumers can trace the origins and methods of production.
Enshrining traceability in law this way would benefit Thailand in several ways. The most obvious would be that it allows consumers to find food products that suit their taste.
More significant still, traceability can boost justice and sustainability in food production by making it transparent. Consumers can then exercise their judgement and buying power to effectively force improvements in the supply chain, which naturally have a positive impact on wider society.
Direct rice sales offer a good example, since they give consumers direct access to the farmers and where the product comes from. The farmers benefit by being able to sell their crop at a higher price than the meagre return currently offered by the market.
Traceability can also provide consumers with information on which retailers are offering farmers a fair wholesale price.
It offers a solution to other issues, too, for example enabling consumers to choose organic food for their health and thereby support environmentally friendly organic farms.
Those concerned about environmental issues can choose food that’s produced locally so as to cut down the carbon footprint generated by transportation.
They can reduce animal cruelty in the food industry by buying meat reared on free-range farms. They can also help ensure sustainability and an end to forced labour in the seafood sector by buying products traceable to non-destructive fishing methods and properly governed boats and factories.
Unfortunately, Thailand has yet to harvest the benefits of traceability, but that will change if enough people demand transparency in our food industry.
It is time that the government introduced regulations to support this practice. If Thailand wants to be a kitchen of the world, then the next step is to provide a window so that everyone can see exactly how its food is produced.
