The 33-year-old man identified only as Nui had confessed to raping 10 children since 2008 and killing four of them.

The lawsuit said Nui had confessed to attempting to rape and strangle the girl on February 5, 2013. Police said Nui lured the four-year-old with the promise of a snack from a charity event. The accused was taken from Bangkok Remand Prison to hear the verdict.

The primary court had given him a life sentence. The appeal was referred by the primary court on grounds this was a life sentence case.

Nui had already received a life term for the rape and killing of a six-year-old girl near the BTS Bearing Station in December 2013; and another life sentence for the rape and murder of a seven-year-old boy in Loei’s Wang Saphung district in November 2013.
