Investigators had previously set Tuesday as the deadline for handing in the documents, but Napapa requested a postponement until early April.

Chatri also revealed that investigators had issued a summons for an event organiser who reportedly hired Napapa for Bt1 million to explain the employment contract. Napapa had submitted the contract to police when she went to testify along with her mother-in-law on March 17.

NSB investigators are checking the actress’s assets and various sources of income to check if they are linked to the alleged money-laundering activities of her husband, motorbike racing star Akarakit Worarojcharoendet, also known as Benz Racing.

Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said on last Tuesday that the Cabinet had not considered at its weekly meeting the issue of the new casino being allegedly sited on an adjoining territory between Thailand and Cambodia. The Foreign Ministry has also not written to Cambodian authorities regarding the matter, he said.

Don added that a number of casinos had opened in border areas without posing any problems.

As the casino was allegedly located in the overlapping territorial claims area of Ta Phraya National Park, Buriram Province, Srisuwan questioned the state agencies involved in the construction. He said it caused damage to society and the country.

Srisuwan also petitioned against recent remark by the 3rd Army Area chief who said that he would have fired several shots in the incident involving a young Lahu activist who was shot dead by soldiers recently.

Srisuwan said the remark violated the Code of Conduct BE 2551 and could be considered against military discipline.

Charupong was implicated by one of the suspects during a press conference on Friday.

Thirachai Uttarawichien, who has been arrested along with eight others following raids at nine locations in seven provinces last week, said that Ko Tee told him a senior politician had informed him about the alleged cache of hidden weapons inside two shipping containers.

He said that Ko Tee was referring to former interior minister Charupong Ruangsuwan. Charupong was a key figure in the Pheu Thai Party as its secretary general.

Charupong, now a secretary general of the Free Thais for Human Rights and Democracy, which was set up after his exile in 2014, said he rejected all the accusations.

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), he said, used its officers to spread news against opponents and implicate them as terrorists.

He said the NCPO must give up Article 44 and return power to the people by holding a general election as soon as possible.
