Designed by world leading architects Foster + Partners, The Whiteley brings together new, modern architecture with retained and restored Grade II-listed features, including the building’s entire frontage and iconic dome. Occupying over 1.1 million sq ft and providing 139 high specification residences, 20 new shops, cafes and restaurants, a cinema, and state-of-the-art gym, The Whiteley will be completed with London’s first and flagship Six Senses hotel and spa, offering 110 rooms, 14 Six Senses residences and a members’ social and wellness club.

The Whiteley offers a selection of one-to five-bedroom homes in the heart of a regenerated Bayswater, just a short walk from Hyde Park, Westbourne Grove and Notting Hill, as well as the transport connectivity of Paddington just a stone’s throw away. Some of the world’s leading museums, galleries, schools and theatres are also all within touching distance.

Curated and managed by Finchatton, residences are architecturally ambitious and proportioned with exceptional generosity of space, offering large outdoor spaces and ceiling heights of up to six metres. The elegant and refined surroundings of The Whiteley provide a lifestyle to residents where five-star amenities are paired with an exceptional service to offer an unparalleled standard of living.

The Whiteley will be home to the flagship Six Senses London, the brand’s first entry into the UK. It will feature 110 rooms, lobby bar and lounge, all-day dining restaurant, and Six Senses Spa with a fitness studio, 20-metre indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna, relaxation room and Alchemy Bar. Designed by award-winning AvroKO, the building’s historic iron staircase will become an interior centrepiece for the new hotel, leading residents and members to a private members’ social and wellness club. This space will feature a central bar and lounge, co-working spaces, restaurants and wellness rooms.

Residents will have access to Six Senses services and amenities, including state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, a music room, childcare facilities, libraries, meeting rooms, a Padel tennis court, dining, housekeeping, concierge, and arts and wellness programming.

Offering a new model for modern living to rival any building in the world, the hotel will also include 14 branded residences, giving owners unique access to the hotel’s services and offerings.

Originally named William Whiteley Limited, and later Whiteleys, this landmark building housed London’s first luxury department store which opened its doors in 1911. This legacy of the building has been carefully considered and preserved by the design team, with visitors and residents arriving at its restored Grade II-listed facade, with its famous clock and sculptures once again taking pride of place, showcasing the building’s original craftsmanship and heritage, offset against sympathetic yet future-facing modern architecture.

A series of new shops, cafés and restaurants will be situated within the frontage on Queensway, and a new main entrance will lead directly beneath the building’s retained, iconic glass rotunda, through to a large-scale public courtyard lined with a mix of destination shopping and dining experiences.

The major restoration and refurbishment of Whiteleys into a new residential, retail, dining and hotel destination marks the beginning of a new era for Bayswater. Over £3bn of collective landowner investment is set to transform the street over the coming years, including a new retail strategy, greening of the streets, significant public realm improvements and a new gate to Hyde Park.

The Whiteley is a joint venture development between MARK and C C Land, with Finchatton acting as development manager. Prices start from £1.5 million through Savills Thailand.

The Whiteley is set to complete in late 2023.

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

#SootinClaimon.Com : ขอบคุณแหล่งข้อมูล : หนังสือพิมพ์ The Nation.

https://www.nationthailand.com/pr-news/business/40016647

Bangkok – King’s College International School Bangkok (King’s Bangkok) is proud of the quality audit result performed by world-class educators from King’s College School, Wimbledon.

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

It welcomed educators from King’s College School, Wimbledon (King’s Wimbledon), led by their former Head Master, Mr. Andrew Halls OBE, who visited King’s Bangkok to audit its curricula, pupil pastoral care, environment, facility design and construction, in order to ensure that King’s Bangkok shares the same ethos and standards of the UK founding school.

On this occasion, King’s Bangkok has released a film showing the students’ stories and experiences at the school. This can be viewed at bit.ly/OneYearAtKingsBangkok

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

“The mission of King’s Wimbledon is to provide an excellent education to pupils ensuring academic success, based on values of kindness, respect, diligence, determination and good manners. This is my first visit to King’s Bangkok for an official quality audit but I am delighted to say that the collaboration between the two schools over the past three years has already been very smooth and productive. From what we have seen during the audit, we are confident that King’s Bangkok will set and achieve high standards for academic excellence at the same time as producing well-rounded, gentle and generous young individuals who will always want to learn,” said Mr. Andrew Halls OBE, who was the Head Master of King’s Wimbledon from 2008 to 2021.

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

During the quality audit of King’s Bangkok, Mr. Halls and his team focused on the academic provision, the quality of life of students and satisfaction of parents. They observed lessons, including general subjects and PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education), visited assemblies, house competitions and extra-curricular activities, interviewed students and parents, and held meetings with committee members, administrators and teachers of all levels.

They analysed data gathered from these methods and assessed the performance of King’s Bangkok. They found that King’s Bangkok’s Co-curricular Programme, focusing on providing opportunities for students to try a wide range of activities, sports, music and art under a pastoral care system, was extremely impressive.

King’s Bangkok aims to guide and prepare its students for higher education at world-class universities, employing teachers from King’s Wimbledon to teach a variety of subjects including STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). It also wants to develop its academic strength in order to become one of Asia’s leading schools.

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

King’s Bangkok believes the key to its success is its teachers, with King’s Wimbledon undertaking final round interviews. The teachers must have the ability to pass on the spirit of King’s Wimbledon and possess “a teacher’s heart” that is ready to open up to children and is determined to foster their growth and prepare them for their future.

Mr. Halls and his team found that parents of students at King’s Bangkok were satisfied with the teaching and care provided by the teachers and staff, and praised the excellent facilities which enable the students to have access to an environment that was conducive to learning and student development. Mr. Halls also attended the “Meet the Heads” event, where he exchanged insights with prospective parents and students and answered their questions.

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

Professor Emeritus Khunying Suchada Kiranandana, PhD, Chairwoman of the Board of Governors at King’s College International School Bangkok, said, “I feel honoured to be visited by the team from King’s Wimbledon. We have been working with them very closely despite the pandemic. The positive results of their assessment of our school show that our efforts are bearing fruit. I also consider this a great opportunity to show King’s Wimbledon the determination of our faculty and staff to develop the academic excellence and spirit of our students with great care, ensuring their well-rounded growth from their first to last day in our school. All our faculty and staff share the same ethos as King’s Wimbledon and the target to become one of Asia’s top schools according to our vision, which will also benefit the students greatly. King’s Bangkok has also been cooperating strongly with King’s Wimbledon on policy and management, which I am confident will continue further as we move forward and achieve goals together.”

Professor Sakorn Suksriwong, DBA, Chair of the Executive Committee at King’s Bangkok, said, “This is the King’s Wimbledon’s fourth visit to Bangkok but it is the first since the pandemic started. We have welcome five senior leaders from Senior School, Junior School and Pre-prep who came to assess the education provided by King’s Bangkok on a full scale. They found that we have developed extremely strongly since the start-up and I attributed this to the efforts of our headmaster and all staff members. We will continue to maintain this standard as we strive to become a leading school in Asia.”

King’s Bangkok welcomes the King’s Wimbledon quality audit team

In addition to the quality assessment, King’s Bangkok conducted a survey on Senior School student satisfaction in several areas and found that almost 100% of students in the survey stated that they felt welcomed at the school and their friends are smart and friendly, and they could explore more possible opportunities for their future lives; 97% stated that they had learned to be humble, smart and kind. They were proud to be part of King’s Bangkok.

Mr. Thomas Banyard, Headmaster at King’s Bangkok, said, “I am very happy that, in less than a year since the opening of our Senior School, we are already reaching such high standards as set for us by King’s Wimbledon. Part of it is because we have a world-class faculty who are determined and ready to guide students to excellence in all areas. We also take care of each student individually and offer numerous IGCSE subjects for them to choose, just like top schools in the UK. In addition, our students had the chance to talk to Mr. Halls about the preparation one would need to be accepted into Oxbridge. As over 90% of King’s Wimbledon students are able to enter the university of their top choice, King’s Wimbledon has the ability to help our students achieve success while we provide world-class facilities that are on the same standard as the UK school.”

“Just as for a child, nothing is more important for a school than being able to learn, grow and improve. The recent audit not only applauds the many strengths of King’s Bangkok but provides us with helpful guidelines to ensure we continue our journey towards being one of the foremost schools of Asia. King’s College International School Bangkok plans to build upon its current success, with a mission to produce well-rounded, academically successful, happy young men and women who are ready for world-class university education.”

SWC introduces LottoFood, new plant-based prepared meals for health enthusiasts

#SootinClaimon.Com : ขอบคุณแหล่งข้อมูล : หนังสือพิมพ์ The Nation.

Consumers’ behavior in the contemporary world is crucial in deciding the direction of new product development in the market, particularly the healthy diet trends, which have been increasingly popular recently.

SWC introduces LottoFood, new plant-based prepared meals for health enthusiasts

Mr. Prachak Tangkaravakoon, Chairman of the Executive Committee of TOA Group, has recognized the importance of health and food consumption trends in Thailand and has decided to expand business by having SWC or Sherwood Corporation (Thailand) Public Company Limited, which manufactures and supplies household products under TOA Group launch a new subsidiary named LottoFood (Thailand) Company Limited to conduct business related to plant-based food by appointing Mr. Sitthirat Watcharaporn as the CEO of LottoFood.

SWC introduces LottoFood, new plant-based prepared meals for health enthusiasts

“I have noticed that the plant-based food trend has grown steadily in Thailand over the past few years,” Mr. Sitthirat mentioned about the growing popularity of plant-based food in Thailand. “This growth pattern corresponds to the consumer trends in the international market. Consequently, more plant-based items are available on the market, and Dr. Prachak Tangkaravakoon saw an opportunity to grow in this industry. This is the first time that he has decided to invest in a plant-based food business, and he has entrusted it to me to oversee and manage operations in this section of ready-to-eat plant-based meals, consisting of LottoFood Plant-Based Tonkatsu, LottoFood Plant-Based Hamburg, and LottoFood Plant-Based Sausage. The products are exceptional in terms of the great tastes, the fine selection of quality ingredients, and the manufacturing processes paying attention to detail.”

SWC introduces LottoFood, new plant-based prepared meals for health enthusiasts

Moreover, he added, “We also have excellent commercial partnerships with DAIZ Inc. and Tanaka Ai Co., Ltd., leading Japanese food startups, acting as agents to obtain premium-grade plant-based raw ingredients. This gives us more confidence that LottoFood products are extraordinary and unique in the market, with the concept of “being delicious, healthy, and made from premium quality Japanese ingredients” responding to the lifestyle of the new generation of health-conscious consumers, and thus becoming a new choice in line with food consumption trends in the future world as well.”

In terms of Marketing objectives, Mr. Sitthirat, CEO of LottoFood, revealed that “I have set a target of 50 million baht in the first year – 2022. It is anticipated that, within three years, the number will move closer to 500 million baht as a result of the variety of plant-based food products launched into the market continuously, including both Ready-to-Eat meals and Ready-to-Cook, raw materials sent to our restaurant partners. We intend to become the number 1 of the plant-based food market in the near future, the goal we must strive for.”

Dr. Prachak Tangkaravakoon, Chairman Member of the Executive Committee of TOA Group, said, “SWC, a robust non-food and food business for the market, is the flagship of expanding new businesses with potential under TOA Group. We are open to new feasible business ideas, and we are ready to provide funding as an Angel Fund for startups to start strong under the support of the TOA Group. We believe that this will create a Growth Engine that accelerates growth for the TOA group.”

Ms. Kuanlee Pan, the Co-founder of Devers Food Co., Ltd., added that the firm has a clear position in enforcing animal welfare, and it is the channel through which customers can conveniently acquire plant-based food. We have numerous choices of over 600 SKUs, which can satisfy customers’ needs. At the same time, we surveyed Thai consumers’ needs and concerns with plant-based food and concluded that the scent and texture are important factors influencing customers’ decisions. However, LottoFood employs innovative and specific techniques to remove the unpleasant smell to the point where almost none is left. The texture will be nice, similar to meat, and low in sodium, giving consumers satisfaction.

MICE offerings are crucial to engaging clients and establishing team bonding. Creating unique experiences is pivotal for success despite potential uncertainties.

Face-to-face meetings vital for business recovery as indicated by customers, Asia Pacific survey reveals

Singapore – June 2022. A new Asia Pacific survey by Marriott International revealed that over 81% of respondents believe that in-person engagements with clients is vital for business recovery. Launched earlier this year, the survey, which reached more than 300 business travellers and MICE professionals, is part of Marriott International’s continuous effort to better understand local market needs and demand.

The findings also revealed that 53% of respondents felt face-to-face activities were important to motivating and establishing bonding among teams and building company culture. Over 60% of the respondents elaborated that restrictions on social gatherings and uncertainties regarding international travel remain a concern. A further 40% also stated that providing unique meeting activities and experiences pose a challenge when faced these restrictions.

Ramesh Daryanani, Vice President of Global Sales, Asia Pacific, explains: “The desire to stay connected with each other has always been there in the past two years. When travelling and meeting face-to-face were not possible, the industry adopted to hybrid meetings and other virtual activities to keep people engaged. With the ease of travel and social gathering restrictions, the pent-up demand for face-to-face meetings is set to accelerate.”

To support business recovery within Asia Pacific, Marriott International recently launched The 5Gs of Human Connection – a campaign that aims to remind people of the warmth of human connection and encourage people to meet face-to-face again. The 5Gs – representing Gather, Global, Gratitude, Giving and Gourmet – are moments when people connect with each other in meaningful and memorable ways. Each pillar is designed to meet the evolving requirements of professionals and support meeting planners in crafting a memorable experience for their attendees:

  • Gather – Meeting international hygiene standards and safety regulations, Marriott International’s company-wide ‘Commitment to Clean’ empowers guests to travel, and professionals to gather together with confidence, from large conventions, incentives to leadership retreats.
  • Global – As borders begin to open across Asia Pacific, Marriott Bonvoy welcomes travellers with its diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts across the region, including on-demand destinations like Singapore, Japan, Maldives, Australia, and many more. Each hotel is able to craft unique experiences for guests based on their destination of choice.
  • Gratitude – Over 70% of professionals feel expression of gratitude is better conveyed through face-to-face interaction, according to Marriott International’s survey. Supporting organisations that want to rebuild team belongingness and togetherness again after a long travel standstill, Marriott Bonvoy delivers a wide array of offsite meetings and corporate retreats.
  • Giving – Recognising the growing demand for purpose-driven travel, Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy™ offers guests the opportunity to create a positive impact in the communities they visit. Experiences range from planting mangroves in Langkawi, to temple preservation in India to caring for fish species in China, and more
  • Gourmet – The survey also revealed more than 66% of respondents agree that curated food & beverage experiences can help create memorable moments for the meetings or event attendees. Marriott Bonvoy provides planners with the convenience of seamless booking from a varied array of world-class restaurants and bars, including six establishments that have been awarded a total of seven diamonds in the recently announced Black Pearl Restaurants Guide 2022, as well as 25 MICHELIN recognised restaurants in Greater China.

Additionally, to better support recovery of MICE in APAC, Marriott International is offering enticing rewards through its “The Time Is Now – Where Can We Take You?” group offer. The rewards can be redeemed when booking an eligible face-to-face meeting or event at participating hotels and resorts.
